- Tratec Halvorsen is a forward-looking and important company for Kvinesdal. For the new chairmanship, which also functions as the municipality's industry committee, it is necessary to get an insight into what is happening in our largest companies, says Kvinlaug.

The delegation was welcomed by managing director Frode Olsen. He first gave a thorough presentation of the company's operations, before taking politicians into the workshop - where there is currently full activity.

- AS ONE OF the cornerstone companies in the municipality, it is important to have a good dialogue with those who govern politically. During the visit, we were shown both what we do and the visions we have for the future, says Olsen.

He also gave a clear indication of the challenges the company is facing - both local, national and international. And Kvinlaug thinks it was useful to know where the shoe presses.

– TRATEC HALF SENSE The management is, among other things, concerned with getting a new four-lane road between Stavanger and Kristiansand in place - and as you know, this is something we are working hard for. In addition, we talked about how we in the public sector can contribute when it comes to skills development, says Kvinlaug, who was impressed by what he saw in the workshop on Øyestranda.

- The new robotic welding machine in particular is very exciting. It is clear that Tratec Halvorsen is close to the market and skilled in what they do, says the mayor.
