The four working offshore work in shifts \u2013 two weeks on and two weeks off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2013 BOTH FOR<\/strong>\u00a0Aker BP and Lundin, we are involved in various types of mechanical maintenance. This can include diverse screwing and welding of pipes, tanks, and railings, says Helleren.<\/p>\n<p>Lundin is a Swedish-owned oil company involved in petroleum activities on the Norwegian continental shelf. The company has primarily concentrated its operations around the Alvheim and Edvard Grieg areas in the central North Sea.<\/p>\n<p>Aker BP is the operator for the field centres Valhall, Ula, Ivar Aasen, Alvheim and Skarv. In addition, the company has a license share in the Johan Sverdrup field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HALVORSEN<\/strong>\u00a0has also been awarded a new contract on the Goliat field in the Barents Sea.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 We carried out a repair and modification job on a process heat exchanger on the Goliat FPSO last year. The client was so pleased with the job we did that we have now been awarded a new contract to be carried out in November and December, says Helleren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IT'S TALK<\/strong> on the same type of work \u2013 special welding in 22cr duplex, which is a steel material widely used in offshore pipes and valves. Halvorsen has several welders who are certified for such tasks.<\/p>\n<p>The Goliat field is an oil and gas field located 85 kilometres northwest of Hammerfest. Goliat is considered the first oil discovery north of the Lofoten Islands.
