\u2013 The pipes are to be used on an installation at \u00c5sg\u00e5rd B, but have been stored with us for a while awaiting the start of the project out there, says project manager Stanley Rafoss.<\/p>\n

When a construction defect was discovered on a similar job, the \u00c5sg\u00e5rd pipes had to be brought back to the workshop at \u00d8yesletta and upgraded.<\/p>\n

\u2013 We had to cut the pipes in two and insert a new segment, says Rafoss.<\/p>\n

The exhaust pipes have an internal diameter of 2.4 metres and are imposing within the workshop hall.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Once we've finished the upgrade, the pipes will be transported to the warehouse on site until the customer is ready to receive the entire installation package, says Rafoss.<\/p>\n

Halvorsen's client is Aker Solutions, while the end customer is Equinor.<\/p>\n

Here the new parts of one of two identical exhaust pipes are being welded into place.
