local and national politicians and stakeholders that the company delivers as promised on the intention of the activity package, which involves ensuring activity, developing competence and further developing the industry in Norway.<\/p>\n

Halvorsen is participating in the Yggdrasil project with the fabrication of large process tanks. The agreement will have a total value of over NOK 100 million.<\/p>\n

\u2013 THE CONTRACT<\/strong>\u00a0This allows us to employ engineers, production personnel and apprentices for approximately two years. Furthermore, it has enabled us to invest in state-of-the-art robotic welding machines, which in turn makes us competitive in the international market, says Helleren.<\/p>\n

Parliament approved development plans for three new North Sea oil fields in June of this year \u2013 Yggdrasil, Valhall, and Fenris.<\/p>\n

Yggdrasil is estimated to have an investment framework of 115 billion Norwegian kroner. The other two projects are estimated to cost 50 billion Norwegian kroner.<\/p>\n

AKER BP LTD<\/strong>\u00a0operator for the fields, but we will be using a number of subcontractors for the development work.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The projects create significant ripple effects, provide security for people and jobs, and not least, generate revenue for the state. These are enormously large projects that create employment all along the coast, said the Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland, during Parliament's consideration of the project.<\/p>\n

YGGDRASIL DEVELOPMENT,<\/strong>\u00a0which were adopted at the meeting, are expected to have recoverable resources of 650 million barrels of oil equivalent. For Valhall and Fenris, recoverable resources are expected to be 367 million barrels of oil equivalent.<\/p>\n

The developments will be powered by shore power and are planned to start up in 2027.<\/p>\n
