Jensen, Tellus Kommunikasjon<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 We are now in the workshop by the largest tank we have ever had here, says foreman Harald Klungland.<\/p>\n<p>The tank is almost 20 metres long, weighs 58 tonnes and has an internal diameter of 4.7 metres, and is produced from 6Mo \u2013 a stainless steel alloy with a high content of molybdenum (Mo). This steel grade is used in corrosive environments, especially where extra resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and chloride corrosion is required.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 There's a lot of work to do on it to finish it. We're welding and using an assembly station to clamp it together. Simply put, to finish it off, says Klungland, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 It's practically all hands on deck. Because it's a huge job.
