On an overtaking job in the North Sea

– We now have three men offshore. They will be replacing the exhaust pipes and carrying out general maintenance, so that the boiler can be recertified, says Narve Tunheim, head of temperature-exposed equipment at Halvorsen.

The 1.5 megawatt boiler is used for heating a module on an oil platform in the North Sea.

The job is estimated to take 14 days. We do a number of such jobs throughout the year. In addition to extending the lifespan of boilers, we also produce new ones, of course, says Tunheim.
