PIG LAUNCHER & PIG RECEIVER

In the oil industry, "pigging" is a term for a pipe cleaning process. A brush (pig) is placed in a "pig launcher", which is a kind of launching station, and then pushed down into the tube until it reaches the receiving station - the so-called "pig receiver".

Tratec Halvorsen develops and manufactures "pig launchers" and "pig receivers" in several variants. We can also supply control cabinets and trolleys for easy handling of the "spikes".
