- When the opportunity to work at Tratec Halvorsen came up, I never had any doubts, says the 50-year-old, who is employed as a project manager.

In recent years, he has held the same position in the Aeron company Aermade in Egersund. He has also worked at Aeron as a service technician offshore and as a project manager in the marine department.

Before that, he was employed at Flekkefjord Slipp. He now meets several of his former colleagues from that time again at Tratec Halvorsen.

- IT'S EASIER to get started when I know people here. In fact, I visited here for eight months in 2011. That also helps, says Øystein, who will make up the team of project managers together with Kurt Ivar Ramsli, Roald Ingebretsen, Stanley Rafoss and Svein Kenneth Krossli.

He started the job on January 2. The main task is to lead various projects from sales to finished product. So far he is satisfied.

- I AM YES excited. There's a lot of new things to get used to. But everyday work seems very varied, and I like that, says Øystein.

In his spare time, he cultivates his interest in motorcycles - or more specifically, Harley Davidson.

- I have a Harley Ultra Classic in the garage. There will be a bit of messing around, but mostly driving. I'm quite eager all season, says Øystein, who also likes to go on top hikes in the district.

Project manager and marathon man

Tore Tjørnhom replaced his job as water officer in Kvinesdal municipality with a project manager position at Tratec Halvorsen.

Spearhead in new international venture

For over 20 years, he has worked with clients in Asia. Now Bjørn Tore Nyland will use his network to sell Tratec Halvorsen internationally.
